Dickson & Associates, Inc. is a landscape irrigation design and consulting firm established by Marty Dickson in 1993.   Marty brings 27 years of experience to every project that enters the firm.

Excellence in landscape irrigation is achieved when landscapes thrive with efficient application of water provided by an irrigation system that is easily managed and maintained.  Our team of irrigation professionals is committed to the success of each and every project to which we apply our expertise with a focus on collaboration with the project design team.  We collaborate with landscape architects, architects, civil engineers, municipalities, project owners and contractors.

We welcome design challenges as demonstrated by our design contribution on the California Academy of Sciences green roof, the largest "green roof" in California.  The experience we gain from challenging projects is an asset we share with our clients.

Water conservation in the landscape is an integral part of our design process.  Our irrigation designs employ a balance between technology and simplicity to meet the unique demands of each landscape.  Irrigation design has evolved beyond just the layout of sprinkler heads and pipe routing.  While these tasks are an important part of every irrigation design, complying with governmental legislation regarding landscape water use is key in every project.

A few of the notable projects we have completed include the California Academy of Sciences green roof and surrounding parklands, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco; the New deYoung Museum, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco; Dougherty Valley High School, San Ramon; Windemere Planned Community, San Ramon; Hewlett Packard campuses in Cupertino, Palo Alto, and Roseville; Genentech Corporate Campus, South San Francisco; and Vista Serena Resort, Los Cabos, Mexico.
